About me

Welcome to my website. I am a PhD student in cognitive science at the University of Groningen. Human learning and forgetting are fields that trigger my interest in particular. In my PhD project, which is supervised by Hedderik van Rijn and Florian Sense, I am examining ways to improve fact learning using cognitive models of memory retrieval. You can read more about the research projects I'm involved in here

Next to my interests in cognitive science research, I am interested in philosophy of cognitive science and in the communication of science to the general public. In addition, I work part-time for MemoryLab as a research scientist, where I work on an adaptive learning system used by 1 million learners around the world.

On this website, you can find an overview of my research. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me using one of the options in the menu on the right.
